Another weekend gone by too fast!

Another weekend gone by too fast. It seems like we are always looking forward to them, but they seem to go by in a blink of an eye and we don't get accomplished nearly all we had set out to do. This weekend, though, we did get to celebrate little Laura Martens' first birthday! It is amazing how our children are growing so fast and learning new things everyday.

Nate has learned a few new things in the last week - he learned that when he is ready to go to bed for the night that he goes to the steps and starts to climb up on his own. He also learned the word "duck" and likes to point to them in his books and talk to them in his bath. Nate also has learned that teething is no fun when all of your molars try to make an appearance at one time. Two have finally broke through, but his gums are all swollen - poor little guy!

Tomorrow is Nate's 15-month birthday, and he gets to celebrate with a trip to the doctor for his checkup and to get a few shots. We can't wait to find out his official height and weight - he is growing up so fast.

Other news - our home A/C is not cooling, and we are hoping that can get fixed early this week b/c this house gets very warm and the temps are not looking to drop again anytime soon. Grandma and Grandpa Thornburg are going to see Great-Grandma Nadine this week - we hope they have a very safe trip!

Well, I (gina) am off to do more homework! Only one more year for me to finish my MBA!
