Man, that was a crazy night last night. With torrential rains and frequent lightning, the storms lasted for a couple hours before moving off to the east. This was the same system that caused the terrible tragedy at the boy scout camp in western Iowa just 24 hours prior. Thankfully, we did not have the same fate with these storms around us. However, the torrential rains are causing more and more flooding and people are having to evacuate all over the state because of record floods and levy breaks. We pray for these families and remember that we are extremely grateful for what we have.
In other news... only a couple more weeks of my Marketing Strategy class. Our group project, which I have found is not easy to do online with other students I have never met before, is coming together, and we will present it to our professor in 2 weeks. After that, I have only 6 more courses to finish before I graduate next spring, God willing. Honestly, I don't know how I would have gotten through all of this if it weren't for a very supportive family and a great friend, LeRon, who has been there to help me all along the way!
Well, that is all for today. If the weather holds up this weekend, we will try to get to the park and take more pics of the Nater!
